One for my Sister
This was a fun one to make.
It is for my sister. I hope she likes it.
I wanted to take a close up of the stitching before washing
it, but someone else had other plans. As soon as I laid it
down he had to come try it out.
I used white thread on top and red in the bobbin. It worked
out pretty good. I did see a little of the red on top in places
through the needle holes
but after I washed it and the thread snuggled in
all was fine. (this is a picture before washing)
and this is the back.
Now to get it boxed up and in the mail.
I am finishing up another one so pictures to come soon!

Mustache Quilt
My granddaughter asked me to make her a mustache quilt. Then about a week later she asked me if I had made her quilt yet (haha!) and when I told her no, she asked me if I would please add some cartoon baby llama's to the quilt. I told her I wasn't sure if I would be able to find fabric with Llama's and if I did I didn't know how well the two things would go together in the same quilt.
So I started looking for some mustache fabric and
couldn't find any. I looked for Llama fabric and couldn't
find any.
So I played with EQ and came up with this pattern and
she told me it was okay if I couldn't find the llama's.
Then about a week later I did another search for the Llama's
and got lucky
and found this
I decided to make the front mustaches and the back llama's
and I put the backing fabric on upside down so when she turns her quilt down
on her bed it looks like this
Now my grandson has asked for a Zombie quilt.
(I can't find zombie fabric)
Do these sweet children think I print up my own fabric
before I make the quilt. (giggle)

A Finish
Just finished this one for me
I usually use warm and white batting but gave
Hobbs 80/20 a try with this one
I liked quilting with it.
The true test will be when I snuggle up with the quilt though
a simple quilt but I like the featured fabric so much I am glad
I didn't cut it into smaller pieces
It really does look so much better in person
and here is a shot of the back
Sorry for the bad pictures
They were taken at night and I don't think I had the quilt
hanging straight either.

Dinosaur Quilts
My daughter bought some material for me to make a quilt and I was able to get 4 quilts out of it. The grandchildren were happy.
I made each one a little different
a close up
and the back
Quilt 2
a close up
and the back
Quilt 3
a close up
and the back
and quilt 4 is the same as quilt 3
except for the back
a close up
and the back
I had so much fun making these quilts.
